Barford Hire was started by David Sorrell back in 1987. And although the company has grown into a business employing around 20 staff and operating more than 200 commercial vehicles, it is still very much a family concern, with several members of the Sorrell family in key roles.

When you rent or buy from Barford,you are choosing abusiness with its roots deep in the region. Wherever possible, we purchase all our new vehicles within East Anglia, to ensure that your money goes back into our local economy.

We try to support our local community and sponsor several local sporting events. Major sponsor of the Barford Festival for the fifth year and many more below...along with Norwich in Bloom supporting Adult education, Norwich jazz festival, St Johns Ambulance, John Lewis fundraising, Norwich's School Sport Partnership developing PE & Sport in Norwich.

Barford Van Hire Flower Power Mini Bus

On the 4th of October 2007 Barford Van Hire handed over the keys of a unique colourful mini bus to Norwich City College to help transport students to areas across Norwich to help develop, enhance and sustain floral and environmental projects.
