Barford Hire & Sales began back in 1986 — the year Wham! split up, Freddie Starr famously “ate a hamster,” and 30 million viewers watched Dirty Den divorce Angie on EastEnders! What started as a small display of used commercial vehicles soon evolved when founder David Sorrell decided to hire some out while they waited to be sold. Those early days are long gone, but our passion for great vehicles and friendly service remains the same. Today, Barford Hire & Sales proudly offers one of the region’s largest self-drive fleets of cars, vans, minibuses, and lorries. Alongside our quality used vans and trucks for sale, we provide a professional yet personal service that only a family-run business can deliver. In line with our ethos of supporting grass roots sport for youngsters, we are the proud kit sponsor of LAKEFORD RANGERS FC U15s who compete in the NCYFL Premier League, sometimes playing here in Barford. Encouraging teenagers into sport is something we are very keen to support and these local young men look fab in their new strip 🙂
